The Kellogg company
The Kellogg company are infrequent producers of football cards. They produced a set in 1961 called International Soccer Stars, then waited 12 years before producing another set, this time called International Soccer Tips. Then a 21 year wait until a 1994 set for the World Cup.

International Soccer Stars
In 1961, Kellogg’s introduced the “International Soccer Stars” series, a set of football cards showcasing notable players of the time. These cards were included as promotional items within Kellogg’s cereal boxes. Children would discover these collectable cards inside their cereal packages, prompting them to purchase more Kellogg’s Whole Wheat Flakes to complete the entire set.

International Soccer Tips
A small set of coloured drawings given away with Kellogg’s Sugar Smacks. The poster displayed (kindly supplied by Toby) states that a great free football card special is included in every packet. Full-colour shots of eight top footballers – Jackie Charlton, Emlyn Hughes, Billy Bremner, Alan Ball, Derek Dougan, Gordon Banks, Wyn Davies and Tony Currie.
Interestingly the poster states that for just 25p and two Sugar Smacks packet tops you can get an album with more pictures, and space for your cards and autographs.
