FKS World Cup Soccer Stars - Mexico 70
Uruguay Uruguay played in Group B in Mexico, alongside Italy, Sweden and Israel. They defeated Israel 2-0 in their first game, then drew 0-0 with Italy. In their final game they lost 1-0 to Sweden. They qualified for the Quarter Finals on goal difference from Sweden. Italy had won the group with one goal scored and none conceded! In the Quarter Finals Uruguay defeated Russia 1-0 in an upset. In the Semi-Final they lost 3-1 against Brazil. Scorers: Maneiro, Mujica, Esparrago, Cubilla (only one of whom is pictured). |
